Surfrider Foundation Europe is a non-profit organisation whose purpose is to protect lakes, rivers, the ocean, waves, and coastlines. It currently has over 13,000 members and is active across 29 chapters divided by 9 countries within Europe. Surfrider is also very active outside Europe, by combining forces on international level Surfrider generates a global impact towards positive change.
Surfrider Foundation Holland Coast is one of the very active chapters within Surfrider Foundation Europe.
Surfrider Foundation Europe has been taking action as a recognized authority in three areas of expertise: marine litter, water quality and public health, coastal management and climate change.
Through campaigns, education, events, projects and collaborations, we work on central local and international objectives, clean water, clean beaches and the protection of surf spots.

Surfrider Foundation is concerned by the water contamination caused by the exploitation of the Tata Steel factory in Ijmuiden that affects the marine environment and the health of the surfer and bather community we commit to protect.
We think the steel company violates licensing regulations and deliberately dumps hazardous materials into the air and water.
Good news! The Surfrider community is growing! And that is why we, Surfrider Foundation Holland Coast, are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team.
